About the Role : Industry Principal (Retail) - Data & AI.
Location : Chennai / Bangalore / Hyderabad.
Vertical : CCR (Consumer, Retail & CPG).
- We are looking for a senior Retail Industry Principal who brings deep domain experience in core retail and has a strong track record of applying Data & AI to solve real business problems.
- This role will anchor strategic client conversations, shape solution themes, and guide delivery teams on retail-focused data, analytics, and AI programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the industry SME for Retail within the CCR vertical.
- Lead client discussions on retail transformation, data modernization, AI/ML-driven use cases, and analytics-led value creation.
- Shape solution narratives across merchandising, supply chain, store operations, customer experience, and omni-channel engagement.

- Drive thought leadership in emerging areas such as demand sensing, digital store operations, dynamic pricing & promotions, and customer 360.
- Partner with Data Engineering, Analytics, and AI teams to design high-impact solutions for global retail clients.
- Bring strong understanding of retail systems, enterprise data flows, and business processes to guide design and execution.
- Support go-to-market pursuits, proposal development, and client workshops.
Must-Have Experience:
- 15-20 years of total experience with significant tenure in core Retail organizations.
- Proven experience combining business domain expertise with Data, Analytics, and AI.
- Hands-on understanding of retail data ecosystems, cloud data platforms, analytics architectures, and AI/ML applications.
Deep knowledge in at least 3-4 of the following areas:.
- Dynamic pricing & promotions.
- Demand sensing & forecasting.
- Customer 360 and customer analytics.
- Omni-channel targeting & personalization.
- Store operations optimization.
- Merchandising or supply chain analytics.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- First and foremost an industry thinker with strong business-process depth in retail.
- Comfortable translating retail problems into Data & AI-led solution constructs.
- Strong storyteller with the ability to simplify technical concepts for business leaders.
- Experience influencing C-level stakeholders.
- Prior consulting exposure or client-facing experience is a plus.
